The Solid Models Company (SM) was founded in Amman in 2008 by a group of dentists, computer Programming experts and professional engineers. SM offers computer-guided planning services for medical doctors in general, and dentists in particular, with the purpose of helping them perform surgical operations with high accuracy to ensure obtaining desired results At this stage; we are in SM focuses on the careful planning of dental implants operations and restoration of bone deformation resulting from accidents, tumors and congenital malformations, particularly those affecting the face and the jaws. The Solid Models Company is distinguished by its own programs that have been developed by professionals in the fields of medicine and programming to convert the two-dimensional CT scan X-rays to three-dimensional models, to enable the doctor to perform virtual surgical operations, examine all treatment options and assess the results with the help of the computer. Following the treatment plan best suited for the patient and approved by the supervising doctor in charge of the case, SM specialized engineers will manufacture computer-guided devices and special parts to help the doctor in applying the treatment plan during the surgical procedure as it appears on the computer. No need to mention that the relationship between SM and the doctor is interactive in a way that ensures the best treatment for the patient. In a related context, and (with) the aim of developing its programs and services, the Solid Models Company conducts scientific experiments and tests with the participation of specialized researchers in a number of Arab universities. As a result, SM has received important and favorable responses from famous and outstanding professors and doctors at Jordan University Hospital in Amman and King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia. SM seeks to be the first regional company in this field; it plans to develop itself vertically and horizontally, particularly in the areas of Dental Implants, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in addition to prosthetic joints and Brain and Neurosurgery to remove tumors through special devices and developed computer software.
